Spielekonsolen sind längst vollwertige Computer. Hinsichtlich Geschwindigkeit und Grafikleistung sogar besonders anspruchsvolle Rechner. Hier werden zuerst die z.Zt. gängigsten Systeme vorgestellt, wobei die hierzulande unbekanntere Wii einen etwas breiteren Raum einnimmt:
